What is the purpose of this study?
Our mission is to advance knowledge about how and why these conditions develop, improve diagnosis and care, and discover new ways to treat and prevent them. We partner with local communities to raise awareness, share resources, and provide opportunities for community members to participate in studies that will ensure that important discoveries benefit everyone.
Who is a qualifying participant?
- Anyone age 18 or older.
- Those with normal cognition, mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or a form of dementia (including Alzheimer's Disease, Lewy Body Disease and Frontotemporal Lobar Degeneration).
What are we asking of you in this study?
We ask for an annual visit. Participation is ongoing as long as you wish to participate or until the study closes.
During your visit, we will ask for
- Medical History: More detailed questions about your medical history, medications, family history, social history, and health habits.
- Vital Signs: Measures of blood pressure, temperature, pulse, height, weight, waist and hip circumference.
- Bloodwork: Blood is drawn to collect important health information and risk factors. (This study does not provide lab results for this bloodwork)
- Cognitive Testing: Written tests and questions will be administered by an examiner to evaluate memory and thinking.
- Neurological Evaluation: A doctor will conduct a neurological/physical exam.
- Optional Tests: MRI of the brain, PET scan of the brain and Lumber puncture (For more information about the mentioned procedures, click here)
